Suriya was incorporated in 2000 by entrepreneurial couple Roshan and Ruwanmali Sepalika Jayasinghe as a specialized “made-to-order” manufacturer of wooden furniture and retail outlets for Sri Lankan handicrafts based in Colombo.
Since its inception, the company has grown from strength to strength and today is a leading Sri-Lankan lifestyle store with products ranging from custom-made wooden furniture to handloom fabric, candles, iron furniture, therapeutic products, cutlery, and decorative household accessories.

We strive to achieve the highest ethical standards in all our manufacturing processes and business practices. We ensure that the suppliers we source from do not utilize child labour, prison labor etc and adhere to all national and international labor laws.
Protecting mother earth is our top priority thus all our handicraft items are made from readily available local raw materials such as reclaimed jack wood and we also provide an incentive to the development of indigenous handicraft skills throughout the country by sourcing primarily from SME’s based throughout rural Sri-Lanka.
